We are totally in love with Cape Town and that is no secret. I mean, we got engaged right on Camp Bay Beach therefore it will forever be top tier in terms of destinations.
Anyway, on our everlasting quest to find new activities to explore on every travel experience…We came across Cape Town Jeep Tours. So basically this company is in the Cape and when you book them, they will shuttle you to really amazing experiences/activities on these super dope Jeeps, it’s really amazing.
We decided to book the Klein Constantia private wine tour. Just as we do, we booked midweek and it worked out perfectly. We were picked up by a lady from out hotel at Sea Point in an open top Jeep Wrangler and it was just drop dead gorgeous. The lady was very professional, opened the doors for us and politely introduced herself. She then explained the itinerary for the day and excitement started creeping in.
Let me tell you, the drive in Cape Town in that super cool Jeep Wrangler was just something else. We are literally talking about the wind blowing through your hair and the stunning views of Cape Town as we were heading to Constantia Kloof. This was quite an exhilarating experience for the both of us as we usually tour Cape Town via the Red Hop on and Hop off bus.
Klein Constantia Wine Estate
We finally arrived in style at the Klein Constantia wine estate and it was just beautiful. We were introduced to our sommelier for the day. He is a handsome and knowledgeable gentleman who just seemed very enthusiastic about his craft.
Just a bit about Klein Constantia, it dates back to 1685 and regarded as one of the most beautiful and premium wine estates with view across False Bay. It’s location is great for the manufacturing of cool climate wines. It is said that Klein Constantia produces some of South Africa’s top wines and that includes the world’s best natural sweet wines such as Vin De Constance.
It was such a treat just experiencing the farm in the Jeep wrangler and just learning about the different grapes they farm to make their exceptional wines. We thoroughly enjoyed the random stops in the middle of the farm and just having him set up a beautiful platter with divine wine for us to enjoy. The general energy around the farm is just so calming and relaxing.

After the serene drive around the breath-taking wine estate, we headed back for the wine tasting at the cellar. All the wines are just mouthwatering but nothing for us will top their Sauvignon Blanc. Like, this wine is like angels…dancing on my tongue. The delicious cheese platter was just to die for. We loved that we got to explore the wine brewing rooms and taking beautiful photos in their gorgeous vintage decorated space.
After that amazing couple of hours at the estate, we were tipsy and ready to ride in our Jeep back to our hotel. It was an amazing day of tasting fine wine in beautiful estate. It’s a definite must experience for all wine lovers when in Cape Town. We would experience this again when we go back to Cape Town. We loved that it was intimate and exclusive.
