Thuli Phongolo Weighs in On the Zuma Protests

Actress Thuli Phongolo has weighed in on the Zuma protests that have engulfed the country since Jacob Zuma’s arrest and tweeted ” The Zumas are out of hand” . . . this was in reference to some of the Zuma’s inciting the violence and looting that has been happening in KZN, Gauteng and some other parts of South Africa.   Former Pres Jacob Zuma has been found guilty of contempt of court, and was arrested last week to start his term of 15 months imprisonment. Since then, his supporters have been looting, and performing acts of violence including damage to property, blocking roads and burning property and trucks, cars etc.   Thuli Phongolo was clearly not impressed by this behaviour and went on Twitter to share her views about some of the social media posts that were shared encouraging violence, coming from the Zumas.

  While some tweeps agreed with her, others were quick to respond negatively . . . and went as far as bringing her “history with Duduzane Zuma” . . . she has since made it clear that the rumours about her Duduzane were a lie and that they have actually never met.
