Thabo Bester and Dr Nandipha Magudumana are back in South Africa

Convicted murderer and rapist Thabo bester and his partner Nandipha Magudumana are back in South Africa, in police custody.
The plane transporting the pair from Arusha, Tanzania, to South Africa landed at Lanseria Airport in the early hours of Thursday morning, as has been reported. The duo was apprehended in Tanzania, only 10 kilometers away from the Kenyan border, with several passports containing multiple identities in their possession – and it is thought that the pair were headed to Tanzania.
On Sunday, a delegation from South Africa, including representatives from the Department of Justice and police officials, traveled to Tanzania to bring the fugitives back to South Africa. Zakaria Alberto, a Mozambican national who was “assisting” them, has also been taken into custody.
Dr. Nandipha is expected to appear in court soon on potential charges of obstructing justice, aiding and abetting a fugitive, and murder. Bester is also likely to face additional charges related to his daring prison escape.
The couple were separated when they arrived in Lanseria airport, Thabo Bester was taken to Kgosi Mampuru prison in Pretoria, and Dr Nandipha is supposed to appear in court on charges of murder and violating dead bodies.
The pair have been said to have resisted arrest in Tanzania, and officials had to get physical with them.
