Somizi Mhlongo back on Metro FM?
Somizi Mhlongo has announced that he is back on Metro FM on Monday . . . 16th August 2021. This is after he asked for some time off after abuse allegation came to light made by his estranged husband Mohale Motaung.
The pair have both confirmed that their fairytale wedding and union is ending in divorce.
Somizi hinted that he is back on Metro on Monday 16th August, on his Instagram stories on Friday (13 August) that he will be returning to the station. This was after a fan said that Somizi is missed on Metro FM.
However, according to Phil Mphela, Somizi will not be back to Metro FM on Monday.

Reports today claimed Somizi will be back on Metro on Monday.
SABC refutes this.
“The SABC can confirm that Mr Somizi Mhlongo is still on a break”.

MNET has also put Somizi on leave, till the allegations matter is resolved. The allegations are very very serious and disturbing. Their statement reads:
M-Net is aware of the allegations made against Somizi Mhlongo. We take allegations of this sort very seriously and are monitoring the situation closely.
M-Net and Mr Somizi Mhlongo met to discuss his role on Idols SA in light of the allegations made against him.
We have reached a mutual agreement that Mr Mhlongo will take some time off to deal with his personal circumstances until this matter has been resolved.
At this point, there’s no telling when Somizi will get back to his duties at Metro FM and as Idols SA judge. There have already been talk on social media, on who will replace Somizi at the music competition.
