Sanelisiwe Bhengu announces her exit from The Real Housewives of Durban
Sane Bhengu has announced her departure from The Real Housewives of Durban, she made the announcement via her Instagram page.
She joined the RHOD this season, and ruffled some feathers with her first scene on the show.
She made her first appearance at Sorisha Naidoo’s spa launch and became unpopular after making fun of Londie London’s failed marriage . . . basically attacked her on national TV on her relationship.
And ever since then, she was known on the show for saying not so great things about the other cast members, and then later denying it. Like the time she was gossiping about Annie, and how she made her way to the top by sleeping with her now husband, and when Annie was told about it, she flat out denied it.
This morning, Sanelisiwe took to social media to express her gratitude for the opportunity and revealed that she is leaving the show following what she called a “beautiful journey.”
She expressed her love for the wonderful women she met on the show, including Maria, JOJO, Sorisha, Nonku, Annie, and Slee. She did not rule out the possibility of returning to #RHODUrban if the paycheck is good. However, if the paycheck does not improve, Sanelisiwe says the “trauma and stress should match her bank account,” indicating that she would not return.
Sane Bhengu is not the first cast member to leave the show. Londie London who was part of the show didn’t return for the current season, as well as Musa Mseleku’s wife Thobile Khumalo and LaConco.
Jojo Robinson also announced that she is done with the show, following the bad experience that she has been having in the last couple of weeks.
Robinson, who was a victim of bullying in high school, revealed that being on the show has been triggering for her and her mental health.
“I was bullied in school and here I am watching similar things happening again on national TV for the whole country to see. In school I had people telling the one friend I had not to be friends with me. And it worked. At one point I remember I would eat lunch in the bathroom so no one would see that I had no friends,” she said in part.
