SA Rapper Riky Rick Passes Away
South African rapper Riky Rick has passed away in the early hours of Wednesday morning . . . South Africa woke up to this devastating news about the Boss Zonke hit maker . . . He was just 34 years old.
Riky Rick real name Rikhado Makhado was not just a rapper, he was a fashion icon as well. He burst on the scene back in 2015 when he dropped his hit album Family Values . . . Which is also where most of us learned about his son.
Riky Rick over the years had shared that he sufferes from mental health and depression. For those who don’t get depression / mental health, things like this just don’t make sense.
Looking in . . . Riky Rick had it all. A successful career, a beautiful wife and beautiful kids and of course not to mention that he was instrumental in changing the hip hop game in South Africa and beyond.
He also founded Cotton Fest . . . And that alone speaks volumes when it comes to his influence and contribution.
His last tweet . . . “I’ll return a stronger man. This land is still my home.” really is like he was saying goodbye.
The cause of death is not yet known, but there are rumors that he died by suicide.
He leaves his wife behind and his kids. May his soul rest in peace.
