Pretoria Musician Vusi Ma R5 Shot Dead in Soshanguve

The family of Vusi Ma R5, the King of Barcardi Music have confirmed that he has died.
The news of his untimely death broke in the early hours of Monday morning, and since then, tributes have been pouring in, with many reminiscing on his hits and how he made everyone dance.
His management company Tribal Records have also confirmed his passing. “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vusi Ma R5, a beloved and talented artist who inspired countless fans and fellow artists with his music. The artist, Itumeleng Mosoeu, allegedly ran into an unfortunate incident that led to his untimely passing in the early hours of Monday morning.”

As soon as news of his death was announced, he immediately started trending on Twitter, and the news there on social media is that he was shot dead at Soshanguve, outside Majents Social Club, where he was performing.
The Mosoeu family has asked for privacy during this terrible time as they grieve and process his death.
This is very sad, and takes us right back to when DJ Sumbody was gunned down, late last year. Artists are just not safe . . . and its sad when they lose their lives when they are trying to put bread on their tables and that of their families.
The police have said that the motive for the shooting is unknown (at the time of writing this), and they are asking for help from the public, those that have information should get in touch with information that can help the police catch the perpetrators.
Vusi Ma R5 Career
Vusi Ma R5 is well known as a Barcardi hitmaker, a genre of music that he well dominated, and he was super popular in Pretoria especially. Some of the songs that made him super popular include “Matenase, Thaba, Ha Bone Selo, Mamela Molao, Mosadi, O Mang Intro, Pula, Dedudla, Kolia Ya Selathla, Zodwa Wabantu, Sgidla Varr, and Re Fihlile”.
At the time of his death, he was working on some projects with other musicians to bring Bacardi music to the forefront o the music industry. This included Dj Sasasa, Nyiko Vilankulu and Mokakati Jack.
His career was going super well, that he bought himself a Porsche just a few months ago.
