Murdah Bongz will not be attending AKA’s Funeral
DJ Zinhle’s husband Bongani Mohosana will not be attending AKA’s memorial and funeral services due to cultural protocol.
Murdah Bongz real name Bongani Mohosana, DJ Zinhle’s husband and father of her 2nd child Asante, will not be going to Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes memorial and funeral service.
AKA was gunned down in Durban on Friday night, from what has been described as a hit, which raised the question, Who Put a hit on AKA.
AKA’s family, on releasing the memorial and funeral details of their son, thanked the Mohosana family on their unwaivering support, during this trying time. They revealed that Bongani ‘Morda’ would not be attending because he’ll be observing and respecting cultural protocol.
“We’d also like to acknowledge our extended family, the Mahosanas for their unwavering support during this time, as Bongani Mahosana will be in absentia at the memorial and funeral due to observing cultural protocol,” the statement reads in part.
This sparked a debate on Twitter on what cultural protocol this was, which emerged that he as the current husband of DJ Zinhle should not be attending the funeral of her ex AKA.
Dj Zinhle has a child with AKA, and she is able to attend because she has to be there for their child Kairo Forbes, as her mother to support her. The three of them have been co-parenting their children together, which has been beautiful to see.
AKA’s memorial service will be held on Friday, 17 February at the Sandton Convention Centre, his funeral will be on Saturday.
