Lerato Kganyago opens up about 4th miscarriage

Metro FM DJ Lerato Kganyago has opened up about losing a baby on her Instagram Stories earlier this month. In the past, Lerato has opened up about her struggles of having a child, and the heartbreak that has come with it.

“I was pregnant. I’m sure you guys saw that I was really big … then I had a miscarriage. Yes, I had a miscarriage this year again, it was my fourth miscarriage,”  she revealed.

“I think I was three-four months pregnant but unfortunately I lost my baba … life goes on. This is something that I didn’t want to discuss but since we’re having [an] honesty night … I was looking forward to this pregnancy, I thought this time around that I had made it through because I had been trying so hard for a while,” Lerato shared.

A week after the miscarriage, the Dj shared that she went back to work, as she had just landed a new show.

“I lost the baby a week after I got the show, and I had to come back because it was a brand new show and I didn’t want to drop the ball because this was something I always wanted.”

Lerato also revealed that she was pregnant around the same time as Dineo Ranaka, who debuted her baby a few weeks back.

“It was so funny because Dineo and I were pregnant at the same time and this is when we were still doing The Bridge … she was just a few months ahead of me … I was hopeful the baby was going to make it through.”

Lerato Kganyago got married in early 2020 her husband Thami Ndlela in a beautiful traditional ceremony. Not a lot is known about the marriage, as Lerato is super private, but we do know that her husband does spoil her quite a bit. Last year on Valentines Day her husband pulled off this amazing surprise, super romantic it left the rest of feeling inadequate.

This years Valentines Day was even more insane, her husband booked the whole FNB Stadium, and got Zonke Dikana to perform . . . which set him back about R800K to R900K.

Sending love and strength to Lerato Kganyago, as losing a child is heartbreaking. She says she has not given up on being a mother, and might be looking at surrogacy.
