Lebogang Mokubela is doing what many people can only dream about, he will be launching his Lemok smart feature phone in South Africa soon. With the rising costs of smartphones, he will be bringing into the market a phone that will give people access to smartphone capabilities, at a fraction of the cost!
Meet the Founder and CEO of Lemok Electronics: Lebogang Mokubela
Lebogang Mokubela is a Soshanguve based entrepreneur, who started Lemok Electronics back in 2019. But with the covid 19 pandemic and the havoc it caused for businesses, Lemok Electronics had to stop production, and now they are back with a bang.
According to the Lemok Electronics website, “Lebogang has always had a passion for technology and innovation. Growing up in South Africa, he witnessed firsthand the transformative power of technology, particularly for people living in under-resourced communities. In 2012, after the failure of his first business when he was 19 years of age, Lebogang joined Perx Agency (a brand activation agency) as Junior Creative. 2 years later Lebogang was promoted to Director of Strategy which gave him exposure in strategic avenues of brands such as 8.ta (now Telkom Mobile) as well as Lenovo South Africa.”
The team at Lemok Electronics under the leadership of Lebogang Mokubela have developed the Lehumo smart feature phone, “a game-changing device that will make internet access more affordable and accessible to millions of Africans.”
“By providing affordable and accessible devices, we hope to empower African communities to participate fully in the digital economy,” says Lebogang.
