Kiernan AKA Forbes memorial and funeral details released

The family of Kiernan Jarryd “AKA” Forbes have released details of the slain rapper’s memorial service and funeral details, on his social media platforms yesterday.

Since AKA was a public person loved by many in South Africa and the world at large, his memorial service will be open to the public, and will be held on Friday the 17th of February . However, his funeral will be a private provincial funeral that will take place on Saturday, the 18th of February.

AKA was gunned down on Friday, the 10th of February on Florida Road, Durban, along with a friend Tebello Motsoane.

With a public memorial service, fans and all those who love AKA can have a chance to pay their final respect to their favourite rapper. The megacy is in deep pain over his passing, it’s a pain that will take a long time to heal.

His family had a press briefing on the 14th February where they announced the memorial and funeral details, as well as acknowledge the outpouring of love that they have received over the past few days since AKA’s death.

At the briefing that was held by AKA’s family, we saw his girlfriend Nadia Nakai and AKA’s mon Lynn Forbes walking hand in hand, and comforting each other.

It was the first time that they were seen in public since AKA passed on, and it was heartbreaking to watch.

They were both were wearing all black, and their sadness was super obvious on their faces.

It’s a terrible time for the family and all those who loved him, our hearts go out to them, Kairo and Nadia Nakai.
