Katlego Maboe Returns to The Expresso Morning Show

Katlego Maboe returns to the Expresso morning Show on SABC 3

Katlego Maboe returns to the Expresso morning Show on SABC 3, following abuse allegations by his ex girlfriend and mother of his child Monique Muller. Katlego Maboe will be doing a tell-all-interview on The Expresso Morning Show on 8 August 2022.

Katlego Maboe had to step down from the Expresso show and many of his other engagements when Monique Muller made claims of abuse against him. Back in 2020, Monique said that Katlego abused her, cheated on her and infected her with an STI.

And since then, the presenter had been fighting to clear his name, and after a 2 year battle through the legal system, the court dismissed the case between them. On his return to the show, he is expected to share what the past 2 years has been like, and share on the challenges that he has gone through the past 2 years.

“It truly is difficult to put into words what I feel at the moment – being back to the place I called home for a decade,” Katlego said.

“I’m filled with so much gratitude for all those who have been supportive and encouraging throughout this journey and I’m looking forward to having the opportunity, once again, to help an incredible team deliver an inspiring show to our people. I’m a mixture of tingling nerves and excitement at the thought of the first ‘Good morning!’ And I hope that when all is said and done, I would have done everyone proud. Thank you all,” he continued.

Katlego Maboe Cancelled in the court of public opinion

Katlego Maboe was cancelled by social media when his viral video came out on Twitter back in 2020, when he was forced to admit to cheating allegations on camera by his ex girlfriend. It’s almost like, he was found guilty by the court of public opinion before anything was even proven and he lost his livelihood and endorsements.

Whatever the ex girlfriend said back then was taken as the truth, not allegations.

S3’s Head of channel Pat Van Heerden had this to say regarding Katlego Maboe getting back n the show.

“S3 has always viewed allegations levelled against Mr Maboe in a serious light and we are delighted that the courts have exonerated him and he can now return to the Expresso family as the host of the show,” he said, while MD of Cardiva TV Patience Stevens expressed how seriously she takes domestic violence.

“Domestic violence is a serious problem in our society, and one which Cardova as a company stands strongly against. We are relieved that the legal process has run its course and that Katlego has cleared himself in court of such allegations. He is a rare talent and we are very happy to be welcoming him back to Expresso,” she said

Very excited to see Katlego Maboe back on our Tv screens, he is truly talented, and I honestly can’t wait to get back to new heights in his career.
