Dj Shimza Shows His Girlfriend Athi Geleba Some Love
Dj Shimza (real name Ashley Raphala) is one of the top DJ’s in South Africa, and this past Saturday (17 December 2022) he hosted to full capacity, his one man show at Sun Arena in Pretoria.
While he is loud when it comes to his music, his shows and his work, he is less vocal when it comes to his love life and the lady in his life. Until now.
The special woman in DJ Shimza’s life is none other than Athi Geleba, and just the other day, he posted his woman on his IG for all to see.
The pair were romantically linked from early 2020, and now DJ Shimza has finally confirmed the relationship for all of Mzansi.

DJ Shimza and Athi Geleba Relationship
DJ Shimza and Athi Geleba, who is the Spokesperson to the Presidency, relationship dates back all the way back to 2020. However, the pair were together before 2020 and have quite a history together.
According to reports, when DJ Shimza got romantically involved with KNaomi, it was after he got out of a relationship with Athi Geleba, and when his relationship with Knaomi fell apart, that’s when he got back together with her, and the pair have been together ever since.
Back in 2021, DJ Shimza trended for more than his music and his work, and what put him on the centre stage was his restaurant that is based in Tembisa, The Hang Awt.
At the time, The Hang Awt was said to have been part of a cookout campaign that was meant to uplift the community of Tembisa, and that he had got the tender to be a part of it because of who he was dating and the connections that he had with the ANC. At the time, it wasn’t clear how he got the event to be hosted at his spot, and the process he went through to be selected.
Fast forward to December 2022, on her birthday, DJ Shimza and Athi confirmed that they are indeed together. Dj Shimza took to his socials to wish her a happy birthday with a heart emoji, to which she responded with “Thank you baby, I love you”.
There had been signs prior to that that the pair were together, like the time they both posted Dj Shimza’s closet on social media, where tweeps put two and two together and saw that it was the same closet.
In addition to the closet, a while back Athi had shared a picture of her “little family”, and in the post was DJ Shimza’s daughter. That also confirmed that Shimza was in her life. Lastly, they posted pictures on their socials in front of the same car, which also was a clue.
Athi and Dj Shimza have been together for over 8 years according to reports. Are wedding bells loading for this couple?
That remains to be seen. . . only time will tell. They seem to be in love with each other, and they make a really cute couple together.
