Cassper Nyovest is the new host of the 2nd Season of The Braai Show on SABC1

Cassper Nyovest is the new host of the 2nd Season of The Braai Show on SABC1 . . . so yes, the Braai Show is coming back for a second season, and it will be hosted by none other than rapper and businessman Cassper Nyovest.

The new season premieres on Wednesday 8 September on SABC 1 (DStv 191). . . . and it is currently in production under all the Covid 19 protocols. Cassper took to his socials to make the announcement, and of course Mzansi reacted as season 1 of the show was hosted by rapper and businessman AKA (Kiernan Forbes).

This season, Cassper Nyovest will be preparing delicious meals for Mzansi’s most loved personalities. The Braais will be set up in different spots that Cassper and his guests pick, where they will be sharing great food over dope conversations.

Cassper had this to say about his new show:

“With my new sneaker range, I wanted to give people a taste of how it feels to be me. I want to explore this even further on The Braai Show with Cassper Nyovest. Not only will I try and get guests to reveal things people didn’t know about them, but I also want to show my fans a different side to my public persona. And, while I may not be a braai master, I’m pretty handy cooking on the coals. It’s going to be fun.”

The producer of the show David Phume said: “Viewers have been asking for more, and we are delighted to be back with a new season fronted by Cassper. He is one of the country’s most successful artists, and his Fill Up The Dome concerts are legendary. However, with The Braai Show, viewers are going to see a different side to this musical genius. Expect some not-to-be-missed sizzling fun and conversations.”

This announcement came with a bit of controversy, as Season 1 was hosted by AKA and titled The Braai Show with AKA. AKA is said to be part owner of the show, and it seems he wasn’t aware that the show will be retitled and given to Cassper.

Part of the statement released reads:

A portion of the statement reads: “Although not surprised by the opportunism, Mr Forbes does regret the lack of integrity and legal foresight by those who have sought to proceed with this incompetently sanctioned plan.”

Tailormade Legal Solutions further stated that no further comment will be given on the matter.
