Rapper Cassper Nyovest has finally dropped his first sneaker with Drip Footwear . . . this is part of the R100 million deal that was announced a few weeks back.
The launch of the sneakers called the Root of Fame 990 happened online on the 8th of July . . . as South Africa is still under level 4 lockdown, and no social gatherings are allowed. A lot of people watched the live . . . about 5000 people and flooded Cassper with congratulatory messages.
Drip Footwear CEO, Lekau Sehoana had this to say about the deal:

About the name of the sneakers, Cassper had this to say about it:
“990 comes from 1990, which is the year I was born. I was born on the 16th of December 1990 and the reason why we moved the one is because I’m the one.”
