Batoka Zambezi Sands: The First Black Female Owned Luxury Safari Lodge in Africa to Open
The countdown is on for the official opening of the first black female-owned safari lodge in Africa. Batoka Zambezi Sands is ready to welcome guests, who will experience the ultimate luxury in one of the world’s most beautiful location. Right in the middle of Zimbabwe, guests can expect 5* luxury second to none.

The safari lodge has 10 beautiful, tented suites, and six of the suites have a private plunge pool, making them perfect for couples and honeymooners.
The safari lodge suites have been designed by South African interior designer Yvonne O’Brien, who is known for “creations which are understated, personal and quietly refined.”
For couples travelling with their children, Batoka Zambezi Sands River Lodge does have a two-bedroom suite, that is equipped with a private swimming pool, a dining room and a lounge, which wouldn’t be complete if it didn’t have a deck that is perfect for those breathtaking views that guests can enjoy.

Bedrooms are styled as large African style tents that offer breathtaking views from the huge veranda to the lodge’s magical wildlife. And the design of the lodge is such that, each tent interlinks with the main dining area and bar, which is great and offers protection from wandering hippos, who spend time at night feeding around the camp.
The lodge’s elegant bar, lounge and dining area are located above the river, and are surrounded by the area’s lush wild landscapes.
