Rapper AKA (Kiernan Forbes) took to Instagram to write a heartfelt message for his fiance Anele Nelli Tembe, on the 4th anniversary of her death. On the post, he says he will never be the same again. He went on to thank his family, her family and all the people that have supported him through this ordeal.
Anele fell to her death from the 10th floor of the Pepperclub Hotel in Cape Town on 11 April, after the pair had an explosive fight, according to reports. She was 22 years at the time of her death.
AKA dedicated an Instagram post to his love . . . and its obvious what a huge impact her death has had.
“4 months to this day … it never goes away. Everyday I pray for her, myself and our families. I will never be the same person I was … but I will do the best I can with the gift and opportunity of life that I still have left, [sic]” AKA captioned a photo of the couple on Wednesday.
“Thank You to everyone who has stuck by me and our respective families … you know who you are,” he added.
On his Instagram stories, he shared a video of them dancing, clearly having an amazing time.
A few weeks after Nelli’s death, AKA did a sit down interview to explain the events of the weekend, what led to their explosive fight and the events that led to her death. He also revealed how they were going to start marriage counselling literally the next week prior to her death.
The police are still investigating her death, and AKA has said that Nelli had threatened to harm herself in the past, and that she was struggling with her mental health, for which she was hospitalized for.
