4th Gen Nissan Xtrail South Africa 2023 – Specs & Pricing

For more than twenty years, the Nissan X-TRAIL has been an emblematic SUV in South Africa. Recently, the latest 4th generation of the X-TRAIL has been redesigned to seamlessly fit into every part of your daily routine, thanks to a range of Nissan Intelligent Mobility safety features, unparalleled interior adaptability, and cutting-edge technology, all wrapped up in a sleek and sporty exterior.

If you’re curious about the price of this fresh family SUV, read on. Notably, the new X-Trail shares the Renault/Nissan/Mitsubishi Alliance CMF-C platform with the recently launched Qashqai in South Africa.

Under the hood, the latest Nissan X-Trail packs a 2.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine capable of producing 135 kW and 244 Nm of torque. The SUV is front-wheel drive and comes with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).

Nissan South Africa plans to launch the new X-Trail with a 3-model lineup, including the Visia, Acenta, and Acenta Plus trims. It’s worth noting that the Acenta Plus flagship model comes with four-wheel drive and seats up to seven passengers, while the standard X-Trail seats five.

“Whilst Nissan South Africa strongly believes our unique e-Power technology is the stepping stone to Africa’s adoption of electric vehicles, South African motorists can expect an ICE range which boasts a suite of tech features at the April launch,” said Stefan Haasbroek, Nissan Africa CMM Director.

“More information on specifications, which include powertrains, will be announced at the time of the various launches planned across Africa.”

As for color options, customers can choose from five basic colors, five color variations, and two-tone combinations. Additionally, the e-Power powertrains for both the Nissan Qashqai and the new X-Trail are set to arrive in 2024.

LED daytime running lights, cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity, a rearview camera, and multiple airbags are among the standard features present across all trim levels.

Advanced trim levels provide added features such as a panoramic sunroof, leather seats, an intelligent around-view monitor, and Nissan’s Intelligent Mobility technologies, including blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and intelligent forward collision warning. These features offer reassurance to both the driver and passengers.
